The incident led to swelling in his brain and spinal cord, leaving him paralyzed in his right arm and the lower part of his body from the waist down. Muhammad expressed his profound grief over the loss of his son.

Mike Williams, originally hailing from Buffalo, excelled as a high school football player at Riverside Institute of Technology. He continued his football journey at Syracuse University and was subsequently drafted into the NFL in 2010 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After a successful five-season stint in the NFL, he retired in 2016 while playing for the Kansas City Chiefs. Over the course of his career, he accumulated impressive statistics, including 26 touchdowns and 3,089 receiving yards.
